Who We Are
Kathi’s K9s, a 501c3 non-profit rescue was founded in 2012 to meet the tremendous need for dog rescues in our community. The occasional cat finds their way to our doors as well, and are always welcomed.
We are strictly a volunteer operated rescue with our canine guests living in a home environment without the kennels so commonly used for rescue organizations.
Our dogs come from several sources. Many are rescued from various county animal facilities where they would be euthanized. Others are owner surrendered referrals from local shelters.
Once in our care dogs are given all necessary veterinary care including: neutering, spaying, all vaccinations, micro-chipping and other veterinary care as needed.
Many of the dogs coming to us are in need of extensive grooming or exhibit behavioral issues. We work with local groomers and dog behaviorists to help our furry friends become the wonderful pets we know they are.
We showcase our rescued pets on Adopt-A-Pet.com, RescueMe.org, Petfinder.com and Facebook, as well as our webpage. Photos, videotapes and personality profiles are provided for each of our pets.
As a non-profit rescue, Kathi’s K9s relies solely on donations and volunteers to make a difference for the pets of our community. We receive no county, state or federal funding.
